Wesley is currently the Program Coordinator for Vamonos Outside, a program whose mission is to inspire and get the Latinx community outdoors. With his role, he is engaging youth of all ages, families, and young adults in outdoor recreation activities while also taking part in community projects to further diversity and equity in the outdoors. Wesley holds a Bachelors in Environmental studies with an emphasis in sustainability and is currently working on a Masters degree in Outdoor Experiential Education.

Wesley’s professional experiences lies within the outdoor education field. Wesley has been a wilderness instructor all over the West, environmental educator in national parks, a university instructor, a local climbing guide, mountain guide, and a snowboard instructor at Mt. Bachelor. Although, the outdoors has been his main type of work, Wesley interests also lie in sociology and how that intersects with the outdoor industry.

Wesley is an avid outdoor enthusiast who cares to bring his community closer to nature. His passion revolves around trying to make the outdoors more accessible by creating opportunities for people experience the outdoors. Communities are only as healthy as the folks that make up those communities. By valuing, diversity, equity and inclusion, Wesley is striving to do his part to help his community thrive.
